- Baseline review: Evaluation includes symptoms, medical and medication history, and laboratory testing. A low laboratory value alone does not establish a diagnosis or eligibility for a prescription. In-person assessment or specialist referral may be required.

What risks should I discuss?
Testosterone can suppress sperm production and cause infertility, testicular shrinkage, acne, fluid retention, breast enlargement, and increased hematocrit. Testosterone is contraindicated in men with active prostate cancer. Sleep apnea and prostate-related concerns require review. Discuss cardiovascular history, prostate or breast cancer, and plans for pregnancy before treatment.
Can I adjust medication myself?
